VETERAN SEVICES

The office houses the Veteran Service Officer (VSO) for Crawford County. The VSO assists veterans, widows and dependents filing for benefits from the Department of Veteran Affairs, and other federal and state agencies. Veterans may file for compensation, pension, education, medical benefits, reports of separations (DD214), and also obtain transportation to and from VA medical appointments. In addition, veterans can apply for grants from the Michigan Veterans Trust Fund and County Veterans Trust fund. The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) counselor also has an office at this location.
